Third and final project for IXD 301 is based around Sustainable Development Goals. We have been asked to take five SDG and design a product around them to either cater a age range from 8-12 or an undergraduate 16-22.

Some Deliverables:

The 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.

At its heart the 17 sustainable Development Goals which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.

They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality and spur economic growth - all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

The Learning outcome for this module is to:

Create suitably designed project which focuses on the design of content for particular users. Evidence of content design, prototyping and evaluation.

From this small piece I know that I need to develop a quick guide for me to follow when doing this process, which will cover first to last stages:

This guide will help me stay on top of tasks throughout the project and also means I can focus fully on each area with full concentration knowing what is to follow.

What are the United Nations?

The United Nations is an intergovernmental organisation whose stated purposes are to maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations among nations, achieve international cooperation, and be a centre for harmonising the actions of nations. The UN is key for deliberating matters of peace and security, but its work encompasses far more than peacekeeping and conflict prevention. The UN system includes scores of entities dedicated to a range of areas including health and humanitarian needs and economic and cultural development. As a founding member of the United Nations and the host for its headquarters, the United States has been a chief guide and major funder of the organisation for more than seventy years.
